About Your Hosts

I was told years and years ago, that I was good at writing, so one of the things I began to do when things started going south was that I started to write. I will admit, I wasn’t very consistent, but I tried to express myself through words. Take my thoughts, which are many. and write them down. And now, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and start the podcast.
Both can be very therapeutic. Opening up and sharing with other people not only helps myself but also others. Hoping we could create a small community where people help and support each other. Seems like a good idea…
So, along with the sad, sorry, serious stuff, figured we could have some light-hearted banter. I’ll also share any helpful information I find while I cope with this thing called life, and from time to time, maybe even go off topic with different things.
So, make yourself comfortable and please feel free to share your lives, or anything else that helps you cope, just makes you smile and forget the bad stuff for a little while.

J.R.

Co-host and beautiful, lovely, wonderful, better half. Love meeting people and discussing various topics. I’ve always helped and cared for people my entire life. I guess that’s my way of making the world a better place. Has life been perfect? Of course not. I have had to work on myself and continue to be the best version of me I can be. One day at a time. Let’s talk.

    Hi Joe,

The last paragraph-“Eventually, I believe this blog will evolve and change. Just like us. It will evolve for the better. Just like we should. But one step at a time. Got to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run.” is my favorite. How very true! 🙂

Keep writing and keep inspiring! There are plenty of people who will find your posts illuminating, I am sure.

Have a great day, my friend! 🙂

    Hey Joey in the Caribbean,

I wonder how you are now? Man you sound like a survivor.

I too came to blogging and writing when things went south, though it was a little after my whole world crumbled around me. I feel lucky to have found an art that I truly bond with. I grew up playing music, but I feel that words offer more freedom for me. Perhaps this is due to a classical music background (?)

I look forward to reading and sharing more about life from and with you.

In the meantime, I’d love to know what you think of a song I wrote about depression:

Self expression through writing is very good. It can heal our being.

Trapped emotions could be unearthed and released via this method.

Here is wishing you the very best in life!

Thank you. Yes, blogging / writing has helped me a great deal. Emotions shouldn’t be trapped, but should be expressed though whatever means.

      Thanks again!

I have been nominated for the Tell Me About Yourself Award and I thought of you when putting together my list of favorite blogs. If you would like to play along the premise is to tell us seven things about yourself and then post 15 of your favorite blogs.

I would like to nominate you as well for the Tell Me About Yourself Award.
I’m enjoying reading your stuff and listening to the music you add to your posts. Thank you for putting it out there and I hope to keep sharing.

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate that. Once I have opportunity, I’ll go through the necessary “rules”. Thanks for reading and commenting. Keep up the good work on your blog!

Going through two divorces of my own was nowhere near as difficult as going through my daughter’s breakup from her high school sweetheart. I, too, use music to express what I’m feeling or thinking. I love this blog, and wish you all the best.

      Lady J,

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for the repost on your blog (great blog by the way). I agree, we should all support one another and share so we can all learn, grow, and be able to move on despite ANY obstacle that gets thrown at us.

Thanks again and feel free to drop by anytime.

Thanks for the add, Joey. I added you as well. I’m looking forward to reading what you have to say about life. It’s one big adventure, isn’t it? Ups and downs, twists and turns…you’re traveling even when you are sitting still. Just keep making art, and you’ll continue to find the silver lining in everything 🙂

caribbean.. wow. some think this is a holiday place. unemployment is common nowadays.. i just hope that if it finds me, that i don’t have kids yet…. i think its hard when your kids will come up and tell you that they are starving and you haven’t got money for food. 😦

Ha. True. Most people would think it’s a good thing to be stranded on a tropical island, but in my situation, not so much. I really want to get back. Kind of stuck, you know?

Yeah, being unemployed wasn’t fun at all. Well, a little fun, since it was like a mini vacation, but after a short while, it starts to sink in. You WANT to get back to work. Money becomes really tight, and unemployment benefits don’t last forever.

      Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for adding me Joey. I’m Marie. I think your story is a lot like another bloggers I follow. He seems to only be thinking about the darker side and thinking about suicide as the way out. Suicide is always on my mind and I feel a little indifferent when I post on his blogs. Maybe you can read some of his writings. And try posting too.
    It’s just a suggestion.
    His blog name is SAMEMANIVEALWAYSBEEN.

I read most of your blogs and listened to your songs you post. I like them all.
    Keep up the writing!!
